Privacy policy
This policy describes the information used by EmerMD Dashboard, the private practice workspace operated by Jason J Emer MD PC.
Effective September 22, 2026. This policy covers the Dashboard and its financial integrations. It does not replace the practice’s patient privacy notices or the policies of connected service providers.
Information we use
For staff access, we use account identifiers, names, business email addresses, staff profile information and assigned permissions. An account alone does not grant access to company records.
When an authorized administrator connects a financial source, the Dashboard imports the permitted company’s records: invoices and balances, accounting payments and credits, processor captures and refunds, settlement information, bills and vendors, spending, and approved business bank transactions and balances. Records can include customer or vendor names, provider record identifiers, dates, amounts, currency and reconciliation references. The available data depends on the source and its authorization.
Integration credentials are used by the server to authenticate to the selected provider. They are not displayed in financial worklists or included in public pages. The finance connectors do not request full payment-card numbers, card security codes or personal online-banking passwords.
Why we use it
We use this information to authenticate staff, enforce permissions, present financial and operational reports, identify reconciliation exceptions, maintain source history, and investigate access or synchronization failures. Captured payments, accounting entries and settled bank cash are represented as separate facts.
Access and service providers
Authorized practice staff can access information according to their permissions. Clerk supports staff authentication. Cloudflare serves public web content and network security functions. The application uses company-controlled storage and server services, including AWS when deployed there. Connected financial providers process requests under their own terms and privacy policies. These providers receive information needed to deliver the requested service.
Dashboard financial data is not sold, used for targeted advertising or used to train general-purpose AI models by this finance integration. Public policy pages contain no advertising trackers. Infrastructure providers may process request metadata, such as IP address and browser information, for delivery and security.
Security and retention
Access to practice records requires server-verified authentication and membership. Integration credentials are protected with encryption and restricted server access. Operational records and audit history are retained for practice reporting, reconciliation, security and applicable recordkeeping requirements. Disconnecting a provider stops future authorized reads; it does not automatically erase previously imported records or the provider’s own records.
Your choices and requests
Practice administrators manage staff access and source connections. Authorized administrators can revoke provider access through the provider and available Dashboard connection controls. Requests are reviewed after identity and authority are verified and may be subject to applicable recordkeeping requirements.
